Dr Nabiha Fatima

Dr. Nabiha Fatima is an Assistant Professor. She holds a PhD, MPhil in Sociology and a master’s in Mass Communication.

With extensive teaching experience at leading institutions, she has designed courses in sociology, anthropology, development studies, virtual media, and gender studies, mentored students in research on social responsibility and community service.

Her research focuses on media, gender studies, and social development, with publications in peer-reviewed journals such as the Journal of Peace, Development, and Communication and BMC Pregnancy and Childbirth.

Her PhD examines women’s career trajectories in media through patriarchy and neoliberalism.

She has presented at prestigious conferences, including the 6th Annual Conference on Emerging Themes in Social Sciences, and received the Best Research Paper Award at the National Education Conference.

Beyond academia, she has worked with UNICEF, PACHAAN Foundation, and USAID on child rights, public health, and media’s role in social change.

As a qualitative research analyst for UNICEF, she contributed to a nationwide study on maternal and child healthcare.

She has also written for Dawn, The News, and Daily Times and appeared as an analyst in BBC documentaries.

Her work continues to shape discussions on gender equality, media ethics, and social justice in Pakistan and beyond.
