Dr. Abida holds  a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Punjab University, along with an MPhil and PhD in Public Health from the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), Punjab University. For the past five years, I have been serving as a visiting faculty member at Punjab University. My academic and research interests lie in women’s social health, the sociology of health, and personal well-being. My research work includes a project on premarital screening for thalassemia, reflecting my commitment to preventive healthcare. I am also deeply passionate about promoting women’s empowerment, advocating for the rights and health of transgender communities, and contributing to broader efforts for social justice.
