Tayyaba Rafiq is a linguist by education, researcher by profession and writer/poet by passion, Tayyaba holds an Honors and M-Phil degree in English Language and Linguistics.Hailing from a remote village of Bulleh Shah's land Kasur, zealous to preserve, promote and popularize her endangered mother tongue (Punjabi), Tayyaba writes, advocates and researches themed around her interests.Besides co-founding an advocacy campaign 'Ugaiti Soch'to put girls education and right of children to receive a quality education at the front of public and political discourse, Tayyaba co-founded 'Aman Chaupal, a safer and inclusive space for villages particularly children and females to intermingle and interact.Aman Chaupal is striving to revive traditional Chaupals that used to be the centre of socio- political and cultural activities by means of art, literature, poetry and discourse.
